Engine mount removal (O/S)

Lotuska method

  • Support the weight of the engine with a trolley jack.
  • Remove the long bolt that goes through the centre of the engine mount itself. See green arrow.

  • Gently jack the engine up, not too much but far enough to make access to the 3×17mm bolts easier (taking care that no hoses, cables etc are over stretched).
  • Remove the 3×17mm bolts holding first part of the mount - a ratchet spanner makes life much easier. See blue arrows.

  • Finally remove the allen key bolts using a hex bit with an 8mm racket spanner.
