LEC BUYS THE RIGHTS TO THE M100 Elan

Try making this more presentable...

It doesn't matter how it is left, or saved, or not saved.

Oil Filter Summary. There are 3 ways to get to the oil filter. From the top, from the offside wheel arch with the wheel removed and from underneath the car. Having tested all three – While it’s possible to loosen the filter from underneath using a tool, it isn’t worth the trouble even if you had free access to an hydraulic ramp. From under the wheel arch it’s easier to see – it’s possible to loosen the filter off using a tool – it’s slightly easier to get the filter out into the open - it’s easier to screw the filter back on – but harder to tighten it by hand. From the top it’s possible to remove the filter by hand, or using a tool at an angle, ref Geoff, – it’s slightly harder to put the filter back on than through the wheel arch - but easier to tighten it up. I went for having it slackened off from underneath on a ramp while I was out warming the oil up. Removing and replacing it via the wheel arch and tightening from the top. I expect the next time I’ll be able to remove by hand, from the top. Think about getting it off before you put it on. If it has an high gloss paint finish take the glaze off with wet and dry paper. Wrap a strip of wet and dry round it for the removal stage Put a mark on the filter so you’ll know how far you tighten it. In the absence of any different instructions turn it ¾ of turn after the faces meet up. Some people have taken to sticking a Neodymium magnet from an Hard Drive to the filter. People will have more or less trouble depending on their physical capabilities and the length of their arms.
