Instrument backlights

Intermittent/flickering and/or complete loss of instrument backlights is quite often due to poor contact on the panel illumination rheostat. This can often be cured by gently rotating from one extreme to the other several times. If more drastic action is needed, the retaining nut may be accessed by removing the knob.
